It is important to appreciate that there is an element of the occult in which my grandfather was interested, although that is easily open to misinterpretation, and that he quotes St Augustine's maxim of "love and do what you will" i.e. self  discipline is more important than imposed rules so long as nobody gets hurt I would suppose...
